A Detailed, Critical Look at Procter and Gamble Pharmaceuticals and the FDA

You will really enjoy this blog. It's written by Aubrey Blumsohn, a professor at Sheffield University in Britain, who claims that P&G messed with his research.

I came across this very critical blog concerning Procter and Gamble Pharmaceuticals. It is incredibly detailed and goes into exactly what is going on at this Big Pharma company (did you know P&G did drugs? I didn't). It also examines the cozy relationship between Big Pharma and the FDA.

This guy has written letters to P&G and also posts the responses he gets. He goes into how the FDA accepts all kinds of funny data when it comes to drugs, but then goes ape-shit on fairly harmless non-drug products.

I highly recommend that you take a look at this blog - Scientific Misconduct. What I sometimes do with long blog posts is I print them out and then I read them while I'm standing in line at the post office or whatever.

Let me know what you think of this blog.

The story of Aubrey's ordeal with Sheffield University and P&G was documented at Slate magazine in 2005.

Instead of fighting over paper towels, Procter & Gamble should be taking the drug Actonel off of the market. It almost killed me. Since taking Actonel 35mg I have had two surgeries at two different times on my esophagus. My throat closed up. I could not even swallowed my own spit. And on another ocassion I was Hospitalized for over a week from black tarry bloody diaherria stools from my rectum. I had to received two bags of blood on different occassions. Not to mention severe body pain ulcers and much much more, on going pain. And to think I was sent a $800.00 check for my out of pocket expenses, which was more than $800.00 and nothing for my pain and suffering than and now. Since than my doctor has taken be off of Actonel. Since than I have gone to different web sites and read what Actonel has done to other people and there are many injuries. This has got to stop.

Thanks for contacting me. Procter & Gamble owned/manufacture Actonel during the time that I was injuried. Actonel is not safe.
My emergencies from taking Actonel required immediate action. I had several adverse reactions, emergencies surgeries on my esophagus. And black tarry stools, diarrhea bloody bleeding from the rectum like rain that lasted over a week, which was an adverse reaction too. I have bone pain/body pain and much, much more.
Actonel caused me serious injuries even though I took it the way the manufacture leaflets and the pharmacies leaflets instructed.
I received serious physical injuries, which could have been fatal. My out come was life threatening. My out come was hospitalization, initial and prolonged.
After having surgeries on my esophagus it is possible that I will have to have another and another and then some.
If I had been home alone when I fainted from the rectum bleed, and not had those surgeries on my esophagus I would have die.
Thank God my children called 911 and 911 called the abulance on two different occasions.
Actonel needs to be recalled now! And I am not going to go away until it is recalled. I really hate to do this, but Procter & Gamble leaves me no choice.
Before Warner Chilcott purchase Actonel, they knew about this matter. I have the postal return receipt (green card signed by an employee) to prove it and a copy of the letter that I sent to the CEO of Warner Chilcott, Mr. Roger Boissonneult. He never wrote me back. I even called Warner Chilcott, Mr Roger Boissonneult and left messages. Of course he never called me back. Time and time again the person on the other end of the phone told me to call Protcer and Gamble, because they had not purchase Actonel and she didn't no wheather they were going to and if they did it would be later on in the year. She even gave me Procter & Gamble phone number and told me, who to talk to, Mr Rocco Rotello. Of course he was who I had already talk to before. During that time was, when Mr. Rocco Rotello told me that he was not going to talk to me about it anymore.
Don't let this happen to you, your love ones, and friends. Stand up and make Procter & Gamble accountable for not only what happen to me, but what may happen to you.
Everyone has a body. It is up to you to protect your body, but how can you from serious physical injuries, serious side effects cause by Pharmaceutical's Drug Companies. Since they did not protect me then I have to protect myself the only way I no how, by word of mouth, so this will not happen to anyone, else. So do as I am during, you should protect yourselves from companies like Procter & gamble too, by word of mouth.
Don't you be the next person to have an adverse reaction from any of the Pharmaceuticals Drug Companies and products. Unlike me you might not be alive today. Therefore I am not only fighting for me, I am fighting for you too.
So please forward this to as many people as you most possibly can. Thank you!

I am not going to go away.
And to think I have their house holds products in my home. And my grandchildren wears their pampers.

If any thing should happen to me all letters/phone conversations and e-mails will be release to the Authorities, news papers and even to Oprah or to anyone who will listen if that's what it takes to get someone to listen.

Thanks for contacting P&G, Brenda.

I'm sorry you had this experience. However, P&G no longer manufacturers
Actonel. You'll want to contact Warner Chilcott at 1-800-448-4878 with your
comments.

Thanks for writing.

Procter & Gamble and Brenda Kidd:
Unlike Pampers, why can’t Procter & Gamble just sit down and talk about Brenda Kidd Actonel injuries. This has been going on way to long.

Actonel/Procter and Gamble
Okay! We Have Two Groups 1 million And 5 Hundred Thousand Group/Actonel
To the Public
Which Group Do You Won't To Be In? Suppose someone put you in the mist, of a 500,000 thousand people group and tells you to stay. And at the same time all of your family members, friends and non friends are in the 1,000,000,000 million people group. The osteoporosis medication is given unto both groups. The 1,000,000,000 people group, do not have any complication from the medication. But the 500,000 people group, had deaths, and are hospitalized, because they experienced serious life threatening adverse side effects from the medication. Now, which group would you rather be in? The group that the medication help the most or the group that the medication gave way to many serious side effects to or shall I say, did not help the most. Of course it caused deaths and life threatening adverse side effects to happen to all the people in the 500,000 thousand, group. Now what both groups did not know was they could not save themselves even if they wanted to from the adverse side effects cause by the medication. But what they did have among themselves were the information what was given to them in the medication patient leaflet concerning side effects. There were no adequate warning and no adequate precaution regarding the truthful risks associated with the medication, written in the Patient Leaflet about the serious life threatening side effects, as to what the medication can really cause, which is misleading to the patient, suggesting that the medication is safe. And that is deceptive. Words like likely unlikely common infrequently are written in the patient information leaflet and the pharmacy leaflet, which are misleading words, also suggesting that the medication is safe. Therefore unknowingly, both groups do not have the truthful information to protect themselves from the medication, as to make a decision to take the medication or not to take the, medication. So which group would you rather be in, the 1,000,000,000 million, group that the medication helped the most or the 500,000 thousand group where, as to the medication did not help the most. If you chose the 1,000,000,000 million people group then what should be done for 500,000 thousand people group. Do you just turn and walk away. And please be truthful and honest to yourselves. I am here only to give you information for a drug namely Actonel and it is up to you to take Actonel or not take Actonel.
The pharmaceutical companies makes the medication, they should know what it does to us. On one hand some serious adverse side effects are untreatable, meaning they are fatal. And on the other hand if left untreated some serious adverse side effects can become more serious and even fatal. Why should we have to suffer for the pharmaceuticals, deceptive, negligent mess ups or maybe, be the first to the market to sale the medications?
People should not have to die just because Pharmaceutical Companies say a drug helps more people than it harms.

Wednesday, July 28, 2010 Procter And Gamble What Do You Know About This
Procter and Gamble what do you know about this?

This Is What We Should Have Known, But Did Not Know About Actonel.

Below are the inactive ingredients in Actonel that are also in your food, cosmetics, medication, household supplies, and much more.
Crospovidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, lactose monohydrate

1. They knew you were going to lose your hair, so they put Silicon Dioxide in Actonel to stop hair lost. But, Silicon Dioxide has a deficiency that also causes you to lose your hair.
2. They knew you were going to be constipated because Risedronate cause constipation, so they put polyethylene Glycol, Hydroxypropl Cellulose, and Magnesium Stearate in Actonel to stop constipation, but Polyethylene Glycol, Hydroxypropl Cellulose and Magnesium Stearate have side effects that cause diarrhea.
3. They knew you were going to bleed, because Polyethylene Glycol causes bleeding from the rectum. And Hydroxypropyl Cellulose also causes bleeding. So they put Microcrystalline Cellulose in Actonel to stop the bleeding, but it could not stop my bleeding from the rectum and other patients bleeding too.
4. They knew you were going to have severe eye problems with Hydroxpropyl Cellulose, so they put Hypromellose in Actonel. But, Hypromellose has side effects that cause eye problems, red eye, sensitive to light, eye pain, and change in vision, lost of vision and more. And that along with more is why data has been hid and omitted.

As the problems, with inactive ingredients grows, the FDA has taken the following position on their website: Due to an overwhelming response, we are no longer accepting Inactive Ingredient related questions via drugproducts@cder.fda.gov. We have been inundated with requests and do not have the resources to adequately respond to questions in a timely manner. For the population these severe adverse reactions can be life threatening. We as consumers should be informed of the inactive ingredients adverse side effects too. My mission is to inform each nation populations of the dangerous drug Actonel, which gives you life threatening side effects. Some of Actonel side effects cannot be fixable. However, being exposed to a small amount or to an excessive amount of Actonel’s inactive ingredients mix with Actonel’s active ingredient Risedronate can result in serious life threatening adverse side effects, even deaths. Actonel lodges in your throat, if you inhaled some of the inactive ingredients in Actonel, they can cause cancer, which also can be deadly. Therefore if Actonel is lodged in your throat, you are inhaling dangerous, harmful, medication. Brenda Kidd
